Our prospector prospector tents are not the cheapest on the Canadian market, they are the most durable. A very important element to consider when purchasing a canvas prospector tent is the longevity of the materials used.

The Canvas used by “Habitation Wigwam” is a polycotton canvas which costs 30 to 50% more than 100% cotton. For what? First, our canvas is 13 oz thick, unlike the 10 oz available on the market today. Our canvas is made of 60% polyester and 40% cotton. This mix of materials makes our canvas even more durable than 10 oz 100% cotton. In addition, it dries faster, it is lighter and it is much less susceptible to fungi and mold than other materials.
